Gerald McBoing-Boing
With a score by Gail Kubik and a script by Dr. Seuss.
Yup, me too: McBoingBoing was a favorite of mine, back in the late 1940s, I suppose, along with Crusader Rabbit. I had no idea it was Gail Kubik's music. That Stravinsky-flavored commercial stuff was probably VERY influential on a subconscious level on a couple of generations of American composers, before the postmodernists began to study it seriously...
What else. Anyone remember an LP of Mother Goose, with Celeste Holme, Cyril Ritchard, and Boris Karloff? Who wrote that music?
