Kleiber/Fledermaus redux
Here's a second video of an earlier performance, unfortunately with sound and image out-of-sinc. Nevertheless, the variations in Kleiber's technique are fascinating, particularly the fluid changes between over- and under-conducting.
Oh man if you want to see this guy at the top of his game go on youtube and search for him conducting the prelude to Der Rosenkavilier. He's amazing to watch. Fluid is the perfect word.
